DolciCanti

As freelance musicians in the New York area, soprano, Vicki Fisk and mezzo, Beth Staples found that they were often hired together because of the serendipitous unique blend of their voices.  Capitalizing on this sound, they formed DolciCanti which simply means “sweet songs” to recapture the little known and rarely performed vocal duet repertoire and make it available to the general public through performances and recordings.  They have concertized in the US and abroad.

They are currently in the recording study putting the final touches on their latest CD, “Sweet Christmas.”   Working with noted jazz musician, Ed Alstrom, the duo is taking a fresh, unique DolciCanti approach to the familiar carols of the season.  Together, these performers bring a wide range and rich wealth of vocal and musical experience to the ensemble.  Plan to make “Sweet Christmas” part of your holiday music tradition.
